GLENBEIGH HEALTH SOURCES

GLENBEIGH HEALTH SOURCES, formerly Glenbeigh Hospital of Cleveland, which opened in November 1982, was one of the largest providers of chemical-dependency treatment for adolescents, adults, and their families in Cleveland. It was the first specialty hospital of its kind in Northeastern Ohio. The purpose of the facility is to provide assessment and treatment of chemically dependent (drug and alcohol addicted) adolescents and adults, and to provide them with the tools to begin their recovery from this disease. The programs are based on the philosophy of Alcoholics Anonymous. Located at 18120 Puritas Road, Glenbeigh is one of several facilities owned by Glenbeigh, Inc., based in Jupiter, Florida. In February 1995, the company closed the Cleveland hospital, but kept open an eighty bed hospital facility in Rock Creek, approximately sixty miles east of Cleveland in Ashtabula County. In addition, Glenbeigh operated outpatient clinics in ROCKY RIVER, BEACHWOOD, and Niles. At that time Glenbeigh Health Sources also offered workshops and seminars to educate the community about the symptoms and prevention of chemical dependency. In 2006 the Rock Creek facility was still an accredited, eighty-bed facility.
